These shoes are actually comfortable. I have a bulging disk at L3-S5 and a knee that i have had an arthroscopy on. It is much easier to walk in these shoes at a greater distance than I can in regular sneakers. Because I have a drop-foot on my right leg, the shape-ups allow my feet to roll from heel to toe with no effort. Regular sneakers do not offer this kind of support or comfort. I am all in.
I have seen some stores that have the shape-ups but only in a limited color and quantity. The sketchers web site is about $10 more per pair and you pay a hefty shipping fee of about $30.

I bought a pair of Skechers and I love them. I have worn orthodics for years and I wear nothing inside these shoes. They do change your balance a little but once you get used to them they feel great. I never had any kind of muscle soreness from wearing them. I wear them whenever I can. I have a black pair and a white pair so that I can wear them as much as possible. I have a soreness on my left foot on the bottom and I have seen two doctors and they did nothing that helped. These shoes are so comfortable I hardly notice it anymore. I highly recommend these shoes!

I tried these Skecher shapeups because they looked nice, skechers are known for being very comfortable, and the price was right.
They are also supposed to help align,support your posture easing pain according to a lot of reviews. I own a pair of MBT shoes that have changed my life as I have chronic pain in my back from spinal surgery. My MBTs took my pain from a 9 to a 2 on a scale of 1-10. However they cost an arm and a leg.
So I thought that I would give the Skecher version a go.
Not a good idea. I wore them around the house for about 20 minutes and found that they actually caused great pain in my back.
Now I also understand that my body is different then other people's bodies, which is why I gave them 2 stars. They felt very good on my feet until I walked around in them and my feet kept wanting to go inward, no support there. They are just missing that one layer of firmer rubber to stabilize them.
Hope this helps people not waste their time and energy, who are trying to save a buck and buy these shoes instead of the original MBTs.
